Abstract. In this paper, based on Fluent software, a fivenozzle gasifier reactor was established to simulate the gasification process of oilbased drill cuttings coalwater slurry. The influence of concentration and oxygen/carbon atomic ratio on the gasification process of oilbased drill cuttings coalwater slurry was investigated.
It was found that activation energy of conversion is E = 103 kJ/mol and the preexponential factor is A0 = × 10 s 1. It was revealed that coal gasification in SCW without oxidants is the weakly endothermic process. The addition of CO 2 into SCW decreases the conversion rate and increases the CO yield.
The whole process were as follows: firstly JDCS was crushed and milled into fine particles with d 90 less than 100 μm, for gaining a higher dissociation rate between organic rocks and minerals, because most of minerals were embedded in coal with particle size of 150 μm. 26 Then the surface of fine coal particles was selectively modified by wt% of C11C17 alkanes (to enhance the ...
The average size of fuel droplets in the jet decreases by 512% in comparison with twocomponent coalwater fuel. Ignition delay time of a single droplet of slurry at oxidizer temperature 1273 K increases by 23% in comparison with twocomponent coalwater fuel when 10% of coal is replaced by liquid pyrolysis products.
Of the different additives, the viscosity reduction effect of Tween 80 in the waste oilcoalwater slurry was best. Further, the comprehensive performance of the waste oilcoalwater slurry, including slurry ability, stability and fluidity, was found to be best at a water content of 10% and a Tween 80 content of 5%.
Numerous excellent studies have reported on energysaving through CWS electrolysis. In 1979, Coughlin and Farooque [33] investigated CWS electrolysis, where the operational cell voltage ranged from to V, surpassing the theoretical value of V but still lower than the electrolysis of water at 2021, Chen [34] investigated the influence of coal rank on coalassisted water ...
The three technology categories are considered as the "pulping", "pumping" and "endprocessing". The "pulping" category addresses technologies related to the production process of coalwater slurry. The "pumping" category addresses technologies related to the transport of coal slurry along a pipeline to its destination.
During the coal mining process, underground water is generated from the longwall face. In the meantime, the coal cutting process would produce coal particles. Coal slurry is generated in the underground working site, especially for water abundant coal mines. The generated coal slurry is treated to prevent water pollution. Due to the extensively existing of the suspended solid, the traditional ...
Mining coal. Coal miners use large machines to remove coal from the earth. Many coal deposits, called coal beds or seams, are near the earth's surface, but others are deep mining methods allow coal miners to easily reach most of the nation's coal reserves and to produce about three times more coal in one hour than in 1978.
A numerical simulation analysis of the effects of O/C ratio and coal concentration in coal water slurry (CWS) on the flow and temperature fields of gasifier, gas composition, and carbon conversion ...
Coal water slurry (CWS)[6], [7] refers to a suspended dispersion system containing coal, water and a small amount of additives. Because of its fluidity, CWS is easy to transport by pipeline. However, the preparation of CWS need to consume a large quantity of water, which leads to the waste of water resources.
ABSTRACT Oilfield wastewater was used to prepare coal slurry, which is called coaloilfield wastewaterslurry. The gasification properties of coaloilfield wastewaterslurry and coal water slurry were studied by using the thermogravimetry method, and the promoting effect of oilfield wastewater on gasification was also determined at the micro level. Results showed that coaloilfield ...

Coal water slurry production process (equipment) to the clean, high efficiency and low energy with our country the atmosphere exceeds bid badly, leads toincreased haze weather, the coal water slurry production must be present, the domestic existing
Coal water slurry (CWS) is an important cleancoalbased liquid fuel with the characteristics of highefficiency and lowpollution. This paper aims to implement the principles of clean production and prepare CWS by coblending coal particles and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) microplastics.
Results showed that coaloilfield wastewaterslurry and coal water slurry both exhibited a similar gasification process. However, compared with coal water slurry, all the gasification ...
The temperature in the reactor was varied in the range of °C. An analysis of the composition of the gas obtained during the gasification of three fuels showed that the coalwaterslurry (40 wt% coal, 60 wt% water) was characterized by the maximum yield of H 2 ( vol%) and the minimum share of CO 2 ( vol%). The largest ...
In terms of energy consumption, the electrolysis of coal is preferred to water electrolysis; this is because kcal of electrical energy and a reversible potential of V are required to produce 1 mol of hydrogen in water electrolysis, whereas coal electrolysis only requires kcal and V, respectively. 16,17 This is achieved because the oxygen evolution reaction, which has high ...
Coal gasification is a key process in the production of synthetic ammonia, and the coal water slurry (CWS) pressurized gasification technology is commonly used, which adopts CWS feed and pressurized gasification in an entrained bed, and CWS reacts with oxygen at high temperature and pressure to produce syngas [3].
In this work, the pyrolysis behavior of coalwater slurry and coaloilwater slurry at various temperatures of °C in a fixed bed reactor was studied. For the pyrolysis of coalwater slurry and coaloilwater slurry, the increase of pyrolysis temperature and water content promoted an increase in gas production but resulted in a ...
As a part of clean coal technology, the coal water slurry has a popular application in the conventional and new thermal power stations. The hydrotransport is nowadays a preferred method, due to its low specific energy consumption and nonpolluting nature. The lignites and high ash coals, available in abundance, show poor slurryability, thereby making the process unsustainable.
The normal coal production is guaranteed and less affected by the coal slurry discharge process. Meanwhile, the water pollution problem is much addressed and the damage of coal slurry to the ...
