مصنع لتجهيز البوكسيت/iron ore sintering process ppt
Iron ore sintering is one of the key steps in the ironmaking process, where granulated pellets are transformed into sinter in the sintering machine, providing an ideal raw material for ironmaking blast furnace. Drum granulation in the sintering process plays an essential role in determining the final sintering performance.
The process of sintering is a thermal operation involving melting and assimilation reactions. The first stage of the sintering process is the formation of the melt which involves the reaction between fine iron ore particles and fluxes. The initial melt is generated from adhering fines during heating via reaction between iron ore and fluxes.
The iron ore sintering, as an essential raw material treatment process of blast furnace, mainly uses coke or anthracite as a heat source and emit a large amount of greenhouse gas (Annual Conference on Sintering Pelletizing Technology, 2022), which is not consistent with the current environmental protection requirements.
SINTERING : | Principle ² Iron ore sintering is carried out by putting iron ore fines mixed with coke breeze on a permeable grate. | The top layer is heated to the sintering temperature (1200 1300 ) and air is drawn through the grate with the help of exhaust blower underneath. | The narrow combustion zone developed initially

Iron ore sintering entails high energy consumption and also produces significant pollution, responsible for the highest share of CO 2 emission, as well as SO 2 and NOx emissions, in the iron and steel production processes. 5 The SO 2 and NO X emissions from this process account for ∼70% and ∼40% of the total iron and steel industry emissions, respectively. 6 Some researchers have used ...
In order to implement the green development of iron and steel industry, the new policy issued by China requires that the emission limits of particulates, SO 2 and NO x in the process of sintering and pelletizing, shall not exceed 10, 35 and 50 mg/m 3, basicity sinter is the main burden of blast furnace in China, which has the disadvantages of low grade, high energy ...
Sinter is the primary feed material for making iron in a blast furnace. During the iron ore sintering process in iron and steel manufacturing, sinter is created by mixing iron ore concentrate with several additives such as limestone and silica to control the chemistry and then igniting it at 1200°C in a continuous beltfed furnace. The production of highquality sinter is crucial for assuring ...

Introduction The ISO definition of the term 'sintering' reads: "The thermal treatment of a powder or compact at a temperature below the melting point of the main constituent, for the purpose of increasing its strength by bonding together of the particles".
Blast furnace The blast furnace is a huge, steel stack lined with refractory brick, where iron ore, coke and limestone are dumped into the top, and preheated air is blown into the bottom. The raw materials require 6 to 8 hours to descend to the bottom of the furnace where they become the final product of liquid slag and liquid iron.
Sintering is a process for ironmaking operations; it represents one of the main sources of production emissions of polychlorinated dibenzopdioxins, polychlorinated dibenzofurans, NOx and SOx ...
Anthracite and coke are evenly coated by iron ore powder during the sintering raw materials granulation process. The granular sintering raw materials are loaded into the sintering machine, where the surface of sintering raw materials is ignited and sintered from top to bottom under the action of vertical airflow [24].As shown in Fig. 3, the sintering bed can be divided into multiple layers ...
The total reaction involved in the process of sintering is the sum of a number of reactions which involve reactions in heating zone, reactions in sintering zone and reactions in cooling zone. These reactions are illustrated schematically for typical sintering of a limefluxed haematite ore in Fig. 11. Fig. : Development of Minerals during ...

Sintering is the most economic and widely used agglomeration process to prepare iron ore fines for blast furnace use. In this chapter, the sintering process is first described to identify the key steps of the process, that is, granulation and thermal densification. Discussion is then focused on the effect of the chemical, physical, and ...
The "pellets" or "Iron ore pellets" is actually a spherical uniform form of iron ore fines mixed with some ingredients like Dolomite, Bentonite, limestone and coke breeze which are later introduce in a furnace to get high quality iron or steel later. 3 Coal fines/coke Iron ore fines Bentonite Pellets. 4.
Luis Verdeja. 2015. Sintering is a process by which a mixture of iron ores, fl uxes and coke is agglomerated in a sinter plant to manufacture a sinter product of a suitable composition, quality and granulometry to be used as burden material in the blast furnace. This process is studied and researched in the steelmaking industry in general, and ...
Therefore, the carbon and Cl content of the raw materials used for iron ore sintering are important to the formation of dioxins. This is supported by Kawaguchi et al. (2002c), who reported that the properties and contents of the solid fuels and chlorides in the raw mixture significantly affect dioxin emissions during the iron ore sintering process.
