It's very easy to grind game with ranger since long time with blood rites, good statues, drinks and attune mobs and bosses with book and monster. With lucky hat and staff of volatiles casts of course. I have only around 69 blood rites. Less than friends. But I continue to grind game around ng670. Not hard and legit. I played few runs with friends.
create a random Mercenary character, start running. set up your skill like this: Charge dash to move faster. First aid heal 30 hp. also can remove poison effect (poison will slow your down) Explosive bomb short cooldown, high damage and only cost 25 mp Shield protect you from bugs Flames of devotion give you extra damage for other class, you can still equip Explosive bomb and First aid.
Despite all this, Heroes of Hammerwatch Ultimate Edition has some good. Unsurprisingly, the seemingly endless waves of enemies are, if nothing else, engaging and there is something to be said about the mindless fighting aspect. Since this is the ultimate edition, all the DLC expansions are included to further increase your grinding, with ...

It's a challenge mode. Grinding for power defeats the purpose. If you want to grind there are infinite ng levels in normal. Now that you say this I think the best option for tweaking merc mode would be a large gold bonus. Something like 3x in ng0, 4x in ng+1, etc. Alternatively, it'd be really fun if they did something like the old hammerwatch ...
The Ore Trader is an NPC located near the entrance to the mines which allows the player to exchange gold for ore. His rates become better with each upgrade tier and at rank 3 purchasing ore can be an effective way to dodge the tax rate for sending gold back to town. The Ore trader is also a way to store money for other characters or for the ...
And the grind is slooow. A full grind from level 1 to somewhere in the castle leves / third boss, can take one to two hours. And the loot may be something like 2030 ore and 67k gold. The ore isn't even enough for a single upgrade and the gold barely covers a single upgrade at the blacksmith.
Build effect: Picking up mana crystals increases your Mana Regen and Resistance by 20% for 30 seconds. Upgrade effect: Each level of the statue adds +5% of your Resistance to Skill Power. "Also known as "The Delayer of Death", at the peak of his career, the cemetery stood empty for many years." Build effect: 20% chance to block most projectiles.
I'm slowy starting to like the game more and more, but it really needs some sort of bank or investment upgrades that give you interest on stored gold at intervals, or gives you a set amount of gold/ore at intervals. Or maybe even just add small permanent modifiers to gold/ore earned to alleviate the grind a little bit. Especially with the risk/reward and the potential for loss. Honestly for ...

Heroes of Hammerwatch. Fun game but too much grind. Overall the game is fun but the early game comes across as repetitive and grindy. Here's are some tips to smooth out the gameplay grind. Heroes of Hammerwatch is an extremely fun roguelite that seemed to slip under the radar . ... layers upon layers of permanent progression. You (and up to 3 friends) pick a class, go dungeon crawling, gather some ore and gold, and most likely die. However, you can either spend the resources you gained inside the dungeon or send them back to town ...
Heroes of Hammerwatch has two kinds of money: Gold and Ore. Gold is used for purchasing character upgrades from most vendors in town, and also for buying items from the General Store. Ore is used to expand the player's town, unlocking new features including higher stages of upgrades for gold purchase. Ore can also be bought or sold by the Ore ...

For a level 1 Treasury, you will reach 50% tax at 10K gold. Level 2 Treasury = 50% tax at 15K gold. Level 3 Treasury = 50% tax at 20K gold. Level 4 Treasury = 50% tax at 25K gold. Level 5 Treasury = 50% tax at 30K gold. To get the most out of reduced tax it's best to buy ore and use all your gold before you turn in at an elevator.
Yes, there is grinding in Heroes of Hammerwatch, but it's grinding that doesn't feel too daunting. If I didn't find enough ore for a particular goal, I could always use the gold I found to buy some. If I died and lost all my gold and ore, I still gained experience along the way to help level up my character. A Classic ConsoleStyle Creation
I have a level 8 paladin atm, and only just unlocked tier 3 town (and still missing quite some tier2 upgrades). I feel the fastest way to find ore is going very fast trough the mines. I can now pull the entire floor to me and kill everything (or just run and don't kill anything) but i rarely find more than 34 ores. I need 30 to unlock the next tier skil, and i feel like it's too hard after ...
